3/31/12 - Time To Go

It has been an “interesting” week….. My roommate announced he is going to live with his girlfriend in San Antonio and my lease is up for renewal April 1.  My landlord decided to go up on the rent!  It is time for me to move.

My last day at my current address will be Sunday, April 29.

If you know of anyone willing to owner finance a motorhome or trailer, $20K or less, please message me at  I have an excellent job and the President of the company is willing to give me a reference letter and verify employment.  I can also provide additional references as needed.  I just don’t have the credit rating necessary for a standard loan through traditional routes.

I will take ANY size trailer or motorhome as long as it is in working condition and has good a/c.  I can live with and recondition anything else.  I have already been approved at a nearby RV park that takes older models.  All I need is someone willing to take a chance on me.

If you are local, or want to make a road trip, I am having a huge garage sale and getting rid of everything I own on Saturday, 4/21 and Sunday, 4/22.  Even if you’re not interested in buying, I could use the warm bodies to help with traffic control.  I will have items in my backyard (birding and lawn equipment, etc.), the garage (misc. other) as well as inside my house (furniture, higher priced items, etc.).

Please let me know ASAP whether or not you can help out those days.

As you know, I have 2 wonderful dogs (Nonni and Bentley), and a great kitcat (Miss Hope).  They have been with me a very long time and they are family.  It limits my options, but I am not willing to give them up.  Keep them in your prayers too.

If it were just me, I’d be willing to live in my car at this point.  Here we go wonderful readers.  It will be interesting to see what happens next.

Love, hugZ and blessings to you all,
Debra (and Nonni and Bentley and Miss Hope)

  1. Hope all works out for you and you find an RV soon. You probably already read her blog, but I know Diana thinks highly of her Arctic Fox travel trailer.
We are really enjoying the Hill Country. Thanks again for your suggestions.

    1. @ Jim and Gayle - Thank you, very much. I'm glad you are enjoying the Hill Country. I can only imagine how pretty it is right now. Don't forget the Hunt/Ingram river road (if you haven't already done that - sorry I'm behind on blog reading). Will catch up this weekend.

I love Diana's blog! Hope to be out and about just like her one day. I realize this is just a hiccup and I really am trying to hold that perspective. For example, I know I am not the only in this great nation of ours that is struggling with bad credit. And my nephew was in a bad car wreck last night. He is okay, broken arm, but the lady that ran the red light is not expected to live. God bless her and her family. My Aunt fell recently and is in the hospital recovering from hip replacement surgery. And my cousin lost a dear family member yesterday AND my niece recently called her wedding off. Whew! The list goes on and on.

As for me, I am very grateful to have my health, and I have a good job. All in all, I am very blessed. I sure could use a break however, and I too am hoping things work out AND that I find an RV soon.

      Thanks for the well wishes.

      Love and hugZ,

  2. so now you are being pushed into decision time, good and not good. i will pray for you and your pets to find the right place to live and affordable. if it were me, i would look at ads of for sale RV and call and ask if they can do owner finance.

    1. @ Sandra – First, please accept my apology for being behind on my blog reading. You are so sweet and I love and appreciate your comments. It disappoints me that I have not been reciprocating and leaving comments on your blog for you. I will get that oversight (and time management issue) corrected this weekend. I promise.

As far as contacting sellers, I must admit that I too thought of that. There just seems to be something inherently wrong with intruding on so many people’s lives. (I think FB calls it “poking”. LOL. Strange terminology.) I may still do it, but so far it just doesn’t sit well with me, which tells me I don’t have the God Nod yet. I’ll let you know if I do.

Can’t wait to read your blog and see what you’ve been up to. Love and hugZ to you and yours, MadSnapper. I hope the weather in FL is as beautiful as ours is here. :)

  3. Miss Debra, I have been reading your blog for a short while now and I truly enjoy it, mostly because of your total positiveness of living life and dealing with it's never ending problems. My sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved father. It would have been great if you could have had "Dolly". My reason for contacting you is because I feel compelled to do something to assist you during this difficult time of looking for another place to live with your furry family members. I am not sure how much I can help but I will do what I can. Please tell me through your blog what size of RV or trailer you would need and approx. how much you could afford on a monthly basis for it. Who I am is not important and I would rather keep it this way. If I can work things out so that you can have what you need and will be able to afford...there will be absolutely NO STRINGS attached. You are in my prayers. WIN!

    1. @ Anonymous - I just replied to you as a new post. I'm not sure what is up with me these days but it certainly isn't brevity! :) May God bless you immensely just for the heartfelt sentiment. HugZ!

  4. I have complete confidence that you'll get this done and that it will turn out even better than you can imagine. You can do this!

    1. @ Maria - Left to myself, I probably couldn't, but I really do believe (and know) that with God, all things are possible. He shook me back to reality today (4/3 blog). ;)
