The winds were very high. Just look at how much of this
sailboat’s hull is out of the water!
No matter how windy or cool (60’s), it was still better than
being inside and I’m already counting down the days until I can be lakeside
again.
I may have to add fishing gear to my RV-living wish list. This
guy was at a table not far from me and he had waders (check out the insert), multiple poles (4, I think), and was catching fish right and left. At
State Parks, in Texas anyway, you don’t have to have a license if you’re fishing
from the bank. Hmmmmm, another freebie to add to the mix of RV living. Gotta love it!
Of course there’s the cost of the gear,
and storage might be a problem. And, I’d have to learn how to clean the
darn things. Bubba or someone else has always done that for me. Oh well, a girl
has to do what a girl has to do, right?
I am going to love living in my RV one day!

Wow that boat looks like its about to tip! Would be scary to be out on the water that way.
ReplyDeleteThe puppies look like they're having fun though :)
There were about 10 sailboats on the lake. Some of them I swear were beyond a 45-degree angle. It might have scared me too but they looked like they were having a blast! Puppies always enjoy being outdoors - they're just like their mommy. :)
DeleteIt sure looks nice. I think I need to move somewhere so I can be by the lake all the time.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind fishing but no way can I put that worm on the hook...lol
There are sure some pretty lakes in your neck-of-the-woods. I love that area all the way through New England. Gorgeous! You could do like a cousin of mine and just hold your pole in the air every time you need bait - someone always helps out. Cracks me up! :)
Deletei say forget the fishing gear and get a really nice camera to share things with US in blog land. the boat looks like it almost turned over. the pups are soooo cute
ReplyDelete@ Sandra - Someone, anyone, let alone you - the MadSnapper, requesting photos from me? LOL, this may be a 1st. One boat had 4 people leaning out over the top edge to keep it from tipping. Lots of whoopin' and a hollerin' when it sat back down. :)
DeleteI've been sailing only once, such fun! Hmmmmmmm? Which lake is that?
ReplyDelete@ Susan - I've been on sailboats but wasn't the one doing the actual sailing. I very much enjoyed that, but it seems like a lot of work to me. The lake is Joe Pool Lake at Cedar Hill State Park.
DeleteThis post is a great post. I enjoy reading this post. Thanks for sharing.
