10/16/12 - My RV Weekend, Part Duh

Did you guess it?  We were near my favorite local lake.  Of course we had to go to.... Lake Whitney.  Duh! :)

Susan, fellow blogger and RV friend, took the picture above with her new camera.  Isn't it gorgeous?

She let me hold the camera and take this picture of her and the furbabies.  It was a windy but beautiful day.  I had a death grip on that camera!  LOL.

In addition to an artist's eye for the unusual....

Susan is also a talented painter (click on any picture to enlarge).  And I can't even begin to tell you the foods she introduced me to.  Her son is a chef but I sure know where he got his talent!  Did I mention we had a great weekend?  :)

Since our visit, Susan and Angel have moved further South to another spot, but hopefully we'll get to see them again before they leave Texas.  Thanks again for a wonderful RV weekend Susan and Angel!

  1. great shot of the fur babies and Susan, i can relate to the grip on the camera. Diane bought a 1000 dollar camera and added a 1700.00 long lens on it. i wanted to try it but was so afraid i would drop it. took one shot and handed it back. she wanted to climb a fence to get a better shot and handed me the camera while she climbed over and i had to hand it up and over. i just knew i would drop it. did not, all was well. in her paintings collage, i like the one with the bird and the worm and the spilled liquids.

  2. @ Sandra - You have a nice camera too... I would even be afraid to hold it! :) The pullout I'm showing from Susan's collage is fairies. Aren't they adorable? I probably should have made them bigger but my photography is not as good as the MadSnappers. :)

    1. @ Ann - Yes she is, and me too! It was just one of those moments where I looked over as she was giving Angel a hug. I said, "Wait! Do that again!" And voila. :)

Speaking of talent - Can't wait to catch up on your blog and see how your sale went.

    1. @ Susan - I am so hoping to make it to your new BEAUTIFUL spot before you move on. Bentley and Nonni will never forgive me if they don't get to share those trails with Angel. :) And of course, the added bennie would be getting to spend more time with you. I hope your 1st week of workamping there is off to a great start. xxo
